Classes
Ashtanga/Vinyasa
The short form is an adaptation of the Primary Series of Ashtanga . In this practice, you will have time to breath into the postures, as each posture is held for 5 breaths. This develops an intuitive understanding of how your body can embrace this ancient practice. Perfect for all levels.
Vinyasa Flow. A more flowing practice that incorporates Sun A and B warmups that build into a Sun C flow
Yin Yoga and Meditation
Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that I often call it “moving meditation” The grounded postures are held for 5-10 minutes that targets the deep connective tissues of the body while encouraging the muscles to be “off duty” Each posture is released slowly as we gently go into the next pose,
Anapana Meditation is the place for anyone who wished to learn to meditate or deepen their current practice. Simple instructions are given throughout the guided practice. Follow up sessions allow for the student to sit for longer quiet periods with less guidance, allowing the student to fully sink into the meditative state..
HathaGentle Yoga
Hatha Yoga refers to the practice of physical yoga postures. The word “hatha “ can be translated in two ways as “willful or “forceful” or the yoga of activity and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha),the yoga of balance,
SOUL Flow In this class you will experience a slower “stretchy” feeling. It is performed at a slower pace with less intense positions that will include meditation, breathwork and relaxation
Sound Bath and Koshi Chime Shower
Singing Bowls produce a sound that can invoke deep stages of relaxation and are often used in meditation for stress reduction. I often blend yin yoga with the bath to create a sublime experience for all. These sessions begin with gentle guidance to quiet the mind and center the body . I play at least 7 bowls ,4 Koshi chimes ,and quite often the addition of an African rain stick , as well as other “sound “ modalities to enhance your experience.
The bowls each have its own frequency to create a sound bath immersion for your whole being. The chimes resonate with the four element : Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
The sounds the bowls create encourages brain waves to alter and deepen relaxation and rest. You may in fact, find yourself experiencing an altered state of being, you may fall asleep, or even dip into a deep meditative place between awake and asleep.
Singing Bowls produce a sound that can invoke deep stages of relaxation and are often used in meditation and for stress reduction. Beginning with some gentle breath guidance to help calm the mind and center the body, each participant will then experience a relaxing Yin Yoga sequence that will help to connect with the physical body. As the singing bowls begin to “speak” each participants will find their connection to their energetic bodies and find comfort in mind, body and spirit.
